Healthy Habits For Healthy Skin (With Hemp-infused Oil)

Hemp-infused oil is among the most beneficial and versatile plants found in nature. Hemp-infused oil is a powerful natural moisturizer and contains vitamins and other nutrients your skin uses to maintain strength and a youthful glow. The antioxidant vitamins in hemp-infused promote growth of new skin cells.

When used topically, hemp-infused oil can provide numerous skin benefits, and it works with any skin type. One of hemp-infused oil’s best features is that it helps regulate your skin’s natural oil (sebum) production, but it won’t clog pores, and it hydrates the skin at the same time.

Using hemp-infused oil is a healthy habit for your skin, but there are lots of other healthy habits you can practice to keep your skin glowing. While you’ve probably heard about some of these, others might surprise you. Here we go!

Sun Exposure

It’s true—you should always wear sunscreen on your face and neck areas, even if it is cloudy outside. At least wear an SPF of 15 and a sunscreen designed to block both UVA and UVB rays, and also be sure to get a sunscreen that won’t clog your pores (it will be marked as non-comedogenic). The most important thing to remember is that sun exposure is cumulative, so a lifetime of exposure can cause wrinkles and age spots and may even lead to the development of skin cancers. When you go to the beach, or you’re in snow, wear an SPF of 30 since the sun is much more intense around reflective surfaces.

Get Sweaty

Sweat means you’re exercising hard, but sweating also means you’re doing something great for your skin. Sweating is a great cleansing process for your pores. The sweat pushes out all those impurities that are lurking in your skin. It is always a great idea to exfoliate after your workout to remove any remaining impurities. Your skin will glow.

Sleep and Stress

There is a reason why sleep is called “beauty sleep.” Just like we get tired, so does our skin. Try to get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night. But before you go to sleep, get a great bedtime routine for skin care.

Always remove your makeup because your skin must breathe overnight to look its best. Hemp-infused oil is a great makeup remover. Just put some on a cotton ball, and your makeup will melt away. It doubles as a moisturizer. Twice per week, exfoliate to remove dead skin using our great Diamond Hemp Butter Scrub. Immediately follow with a moisturizer like our Diamond Hemp Butter Cream.

Stress can also affect your skin, so certainly avoid stress as much as you can. Some amount of stress is inevitable, so take breaks often, exercise and remember to take time out for yourself to do the things you enjoy doing. You already know that when you’ re under stress, your skin has a tendency to break out more; cortisol and other hormones that your body produces in times of stress make your skin more oily. What better way to distress than with chocolate? Consider our Diamond Hemp Chocolate Body Scrub. You’ll be distressed in no time!

Just like the phrase “beauty sleep” the phrase “you are what you eat” rings true, too. Your skin needs plenty of vitamins and minerals to maintain that healthy glow. In particular, vitamins A and E are very beneficial antioxidants for the skin. Be sure you eat lots of leafy greens and fresh fruits, and to supplement your nutrition, consider using Diamond Serenity, our antioxidant facial serum rich in A, B and E vitamins.

Even more important to your skin than vitamins is hydration. Most of us don’t drink enough water throughout the day, but our bodies need water to function properly. Skin is no different—the skin cannot purge impurities without enough water. Drink at least eight glasses per day, and also eat high water content fruits and vegetables like citrus fruits, watermelon, and cucumber. Our Diamond Refresh clarifying hemp-infused mask was designed to be used after hydration to keep your skin balanced and oil under control.

Treating Acne

Dry skin can cause your skin to overproduce oil, which clogs pores that become infected and lead to acne. Hemp-infused oil hydrates skin, which in turn reduces excess oil and the chances you’ll have acne. Wash your face at least three times a day, and massage the cleanser in with circular motions to stimulate blood circulation in your face or other acne-prone body areas. Hemp-infused oil has antibacterial properties, and our Diamond Hemp-infused cleansers, scrubs, and creams are all formulated for all skin types, including acne-prone skin.

With our line of Diamond Hemp skincare products, you’ll feel like every day is a spa day. Use these products as a regular skincare regimen. Pamper yourself with our body scrubs and creams. A gentle facial or body massage and breathing in the invigorating scents of our chocolate and Hawaiian rain scented products will transport you to paradise, and your stress will melt away. Our products include vitamins like A, C, and E and other nutrients like coconut oil which is great for your skin.

If you’re like many women, you’ve tried an endless amount of skincare products, only to have half-empty jars lining your bathroom medicine cabinet. Give Diamond Hemp a try, and also practice the tips in this article. Your skin will be simply splendid!
